Intensive Behavioural Treatment Package

The Intensive Behavioural Treatment Package is our most comprehensive behavioural treatment programme conducted over a six-week period. Active Creatures will work intensively with your dog to directly address your dog’s behavioural problem/s and bring about immediate and positive change in your dog’s behaviour. 

Who’s this package for?

The package is ideal for owners whose dog is:

• prone to leash reactivity towards other dogs or objects (like skateboards), particularly when on walks
• exhibiting direct aggression towards other unfamiliar dogs
• experiencing a very intense and traumatic level of separation anxiety

 

What does the package include?

• An initial 20-minute phone consultation with Active Creatures so we can  determine your dog’s behavioural problem/s that need to be corrected. This phone call will also allow us to describe how the treatment programme works and what you can expect in terms of results.

 

• A 90-minute comprehensive face-to-face behavioural assessment that explores the issues discussed on the phone in more detail. 
  

 

• From the behavioural assessment, a targeted behavioural treatment plan & schedule will be developed to help your dog and bring about positive and lasting change. 
  

 

• Three treatment sessions per week, for three weeks (a total of nine sessions). In each of these sessions, Active Creatures will work directly with your dog, utilising a range of positive and reward-based methods and techniques to achieve the desired behavioural change. At no stage will any aversive or punishment-based approaches be used.
  

 

• One 'transfer session' per week, for three weeks. This is where Active Creatures spends time demonstrating all of the practical methods and techniques that have been used over the prior three weeks. These sessions show you how to instruct your dog, and help reinforce and cement the positive behavioural changes already achieved. 
  

 

• A 60-minute review session at an agreed date to finalise the treatment approach, discuss any outstanding questions that you may have and clarify the path forward for you and your dog.  
  

 

• A comprehensive & personalised treatment manual will be emailed to you, outlining the treatment plan in detail. It's your resource guide with each of the practical treatment exercises so you can continue the training with your dog. 

 

• Phone check-ins. We're only ever a phone call away for a check-in on any questions you have, and to discuss progress being achieved.
